Yeah good pickup. He had his worst year since 2014 last year according PFF but in 17 and 18 he had great years. If they can get that production out of him...hell of a steal for a measly 7th

Needed to make room for all that money they gave to Tannehill and all that money they'll probably give to Henry.

they had over 70m in cap space after all the cuts they made.

I’m just baffled

Broncos acquired DT Jurrell Casey from the Titans in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round pick.
30-year-old Casey remains under contract through 2022 but his guarantees expire after this season. The Broncos were knowingly in the market for an interior threat along their defensive line and the Titans likely didn't mind budging from Casey knowing Derrick Henry's extension is on the table. Denver's willingness to take on Casey's remaining $41.2 million over the next three years didn't hurt matters. While his play tailed off due to a nagging shoulder injury last year, Casey has quietly averaged a durable 806 snaps per season since 2012 and remains one of the league's most forceful run-stuffers going,

I guess this was to free up money for Tannehill (LOL), and Henry. Either way this is a steal for the Broncos. I assume Casey did not draw a ton of attention because of the cap hit his contract brings, his age (30), but the Broncos can afford it and they can cut him at any time with no penalty.

Broncos = A grade
Titans = Doing their best O'Brien impression, grade....

Everything they are doing looks even worse now that you see what Bridgewater got from Carolina. 3 years for 60 mil for him yet we gave Tannehill essentially 3 years with 90 mil guaranteed

I mean, they’re banking on tanny being regular season tanny with their system...even though he reverted to old tanny in the playoffs and had an outlier and likely regressing big time throw rate.

idk if teddy was the answer either.

I am good with the tag for Henry. Perfect solution. One more year of 400+ touches.

but they need to invest in coverage. Jones and Poole would’ve been nice.

I didn't mean so much Teddy was the answer as how badly they overpaid Tannehill. They are about the same level of QB yet Tannehill got 30 mil more in guarantees than Bridgewater did in his entire contract. Jameis is still unsigned. There were cheaper options available for the same caliber of player. If they couldn't get Tannehill on a smaller number, it would have been better to just let him walk and sign one of those guys cheaper and maybe draft someone like Jacob Eason late 1st round to develop.

Titan's basically gave away a player that was due a lot of money. Almost enough to cover 2.5 seasons of Henry type money. Good move on Titans and the Broncos get an expensive player that fills a void. Both win in my opinion.

"Fleece" would not be the appropriate word for this transaction.
