Offensively he can be impressive but in his own end he can be a nightmare. He got abused in the conference finals last year.

I don't think it's going to happen in Ottawa, so yeah, if Alfie wants to try his luck with another team, more power to him. I don't want to see him go, but after all the years he's put in here, he's more than earned a chance with a contender.

I don't think the Isles would be interested at this point. Besides the only defenseman I'd want from Pittsburgh are Letang or their defense prospects. They're system is loaded with D.

Totally agree and right now they couldn’t give Martin away. The closest prospect in Despres has been very disappointing this year along with Morrow in Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

If the rumor that Penguin management is disappointed with Despres right now I wouldn't be surprised if his name doesn't come up in a trade rumor sooner or later. Which stinks because he looked good late last year.

I can see quite a few players around the league that might be bought out come this summer.
