I wish him luck. I dont like how he left the Bruins but I bet he is still pretty damn good in the net.

At his age I think a year off is too much to overcome. Wouldn't surprise me if he did well though.

I have a great deal of respect for Tim Thomas, but this is probably not going to end well for him. Not necessarily because he took a year off, but mainly because he's going to play for the Panthers.

I think the greatest positive coming from this is that a vet like Tim Thomas could be a great mentor to a young goalie like Jacob Markstrom. Unfortunately, I think Tim Thomas is too much of an egomaniac to mentor anyone.
