I'm not positive, but I think the club option comes in 2019. And he'll be a FA in 2020.

He's just coming back, but his results over his last 25 starts or so are pretty dismal.

The Rangers might have to make a hard decision about Mr Napoli come AS time.

And just think, we could have had MM for about the same money, and on a one year deal, which would leave the door open for Guzman in 2018. Some hindsight involved there for sure.

And his signing was really "outta the box" IMO for JD. We brought on a guy who is older (maybe just old), coming off his best season ever, and knowing he sucks defensively. That's not a typical signing is it?

Typical? No and he just didn't fit this year. He has had his years and I loved the guy when he first came to the organization but it's time to give it up.
