What a tough spot to be in for this guy. I'm sure he's a nice enough person and all, but it must have been a little easier to focus on just football than all the other players on the ship that had to deal with money issues for themselves and their families. No doubt in my mind he was the best player that year, and if I was V.Young I wouldn't even think about accepting it knowing I didn't win it fair and square. Even though he will if offered as he stated.

Vince, and his Mom, already stated that he didn't want it, but then Mack Brown told him texas did want it, so now he does? Doesn't seem like he has Young's best interests in mind.

No doubt, whether it was V Young second runner up or not, same for USC's NC Title if they decide to yank that too. That trophy is a lot bigger than the Heisman. There were a lot more people that contributed to that than just Bush, but when your wrong, your wrong, and I don't think you get to pick and choose your own punishment
