Don't know if he'll declare or not (he's a junior), but anyone think he would be worth a shot on day 3? I saw a good portion of his bowl game against Maryland, and he struck me much the same way that Tajh Boyd did in his bowl game last year. He's smaller than Boyd (6', 188 vs Boyd's 6'1, 225), but posted serious production (3916/39/9), albeit against lesser competition. He went for 337/3/0 vs Maryland in the Military Bowl last week. Boyd went 304/1/1 against Maryland in October, but obviously on a lesser stage.

I don't know Shopson. While the rest of the league is getting bigger, we seemed to be selecting smaller faster players in some positions. I don't know if that guy would be worth a pick. Bring him in as an undrafted FA if nobody picks him up.

Well I haven't seen Cato play but I'm not high on Boyd.

We don't need a QB. We need to keep surrounding Sam with better players.

Yea SteelersPride, you have correct. The dude should just go back to school and complete his degree.

We do need a QB, whether it be a solid young backup or someone to push Bradford (or both). Clemons is gone and Davis is not a true backup QB. We will select someone in rounds 4-6 that can hold a clipboard but also push Bradford (assuming he stays...which I am still not convinced he does)

I did forget Clemons is a FA damm. Bet the rams try to resign him.

Nah.. we need to go younger. I would much rather see David Fales, Braxton Miller, Stephen Morris or someone like that carrying the clipboard.

Wouldn't mind drafting a QB late and see if they can catch up, if they can learn and they might have a future, even if it is just being a backup. But I do think Cato stays in school.

:L We don't need a QB. Like Sam has been tearing it up..?

I think it's time for a competition and see the bar raised. If anything, we have to draft a QB somewhere if Sam continues his average play AND if he would to get hurt.

Braxton Miller is not a good QB btw. I would take Fales or Morris tho.

Oh and I like Cato. He needs work behind center, since he's been in the shotgun his entire college career. Plus he's a junior. Not coming out this year - too many good QB's.

That's the problem with most of these guys; everything is from the shotgun in college these days.

I agree that Cato could use another year, but is it really going to help him much? He will continue to be overlooked at Marshall. Braxton seems to be slotted very late in the draft as well; why is it assumed he will come out?
