Thoughts on Kovy

In my opinion, team will have turnaround when he starts scoring in a way he usually did. In last game he had 8 SOG and it is a good sign. He should not hesitate when he has chance to shoot and he should not try too hard, just needs to be himself.

Kovy had a bad game yesterday, and I didnt even notice until they talked about it on Hockey Night Live or NHL On The Fly I forget which. Anyway, point is he had a bad and I didnt notice while watching the game, which is an improvement from the start of the year.

i thought kovy was excellent yesterday. half the time the guys on hockey night live are clueless.

he was moving constantly, he was getting open, he was creating chances.

how could you not notice him? just cause he didn't score doesn't make it bad, i know you don't like him but c'mon... he created a lot yesterday. it was the first game this season that he truely looked like kovy to me.

cutting to me middle, using those slick little drop passes as his set ups, filtering to the top of the circles for one t's.

thats the kovy i want to see. yesterday was very encouraging to me.

and i have not thought all that ill of him all year either.

i just think he's feeling a ton of pressure, but once a player is on the team i try to forget the money. i expect the same out of every player because no one should be about another.


another thing i will say, is yesterday was one of the first times i thought kovy had a linemate who truely fit his style of play in teddy.

The HNL guys are not clueless. And he bad game stat-wise, but if you watched the game and didnt know the stats you wouldnt know it and thats a good thing. I noticed him yesterday, I just didnt notice anything bad which is a good thing because I will admit to being so Anti-Kovy that I look for him to be bad.

I think another point of notice that i've seen recently (not counting the philly game because of elias out) is that other teams are sending their shutdown Dmen out against Kovy on the 3rd line. Even though the points aren't coming it has given our true top line of Elias-Arnott-Tedenby the freedom to work against lesser Defense pairings.

True, which is why Kovy and Praise shouldn't have been on the same line except on the PP. Split them up and one of them has to face the weaker line sooner or later.

We all had and have high expectations for Kovy. I think now it's time to start performing to prove us right. Tonight should be his night - I can sense it.

If he keeps having games like he did the last one (bad game stat-wise, but nothing actually bad/hurtful) I dont care if he doesnt score for the rest of the season.

He needs to play under right coaches. JMac is not able to manage and use correctly his power skills. Everything tells us - fire JMac!

I dont buy that, he didnt do crap when he was around for the short time last year either.
