Hell nah.

I wouldn't touch him with a lotto pick. Late first round (via CLE) I would consider, but no way in hell you risk a lottery pick on this underwhelming stick of a human.

Yeah, he's a guy you want to grab, but not with a lottery pick. He's a huge project. He'd probably be best served getting drafted and spending significant time in the D-league learning the game and getting physically stronger. In 2-4 years, he could be really good if he's developed slowly.

I think he'll make Greg Oden look like a steal.

I read an article that stated that he has struggled at basketball camps for elite high school prospects and that one ranking had him rated as the #41 prospect in this upcoming draft. Too risky for a high pick.

He has struggled whenever he went against decent competition. A year ago Labassiere dominated him. And given his recent camp results -- he hasn't improved in the last year.

In a weak draft, if I'm one of these teams with multiple 1st round picks (like Boston or Phoenix), I'd definitely take a chance on him with those mid round picks. It's a low risk move with a potential huge reward.

I keep seeing the Suns picking this guy named Dragon Bender from Europe in some mocks. Bad ass name but from watching his highlights I'm not sure I'm in support.

I actually have been impressed with Thon. I wish him the best, he seems to love the sport
