How are you going to do this?
This year works great for a 4-year playoff, but I think an 8-team playoff worked better last season. Two of the CCGs last year did not determine who made the playoff, where they will likely determine them this year.
I understand totally because I have zero problems with the people who want to keep the playoffs number at four. In fact, I'm fine with it right now and think we need to sit back and analyze how it has gone after five years or so and see if it needs to be changed or adjusted.Well yeah, if you are now clinging to posts about things you didn't say instead of adding to things that were said it's clear you are past that. I mean isn't that obvious?
I have zero problems with the people who want 8 or 16 team playoffs, I simply do not agree with them. Some who want it kept at 4 may not have the same reasons or otherwise explain their thoughts the same way.
Whatever your views are on that topic are fine with me and I'm not looking for a fight. Just added my 2c on the whole 'every game matters' part of the discussion that always comes up with playoff expansion.
Have a good day.
Yeah, because last year the B1G would've had 3 or 4 teams in an 8 team playoff, of course you were for it.

128 team playoff. Season can end in March
IMO that is mutually exclusive.8 teams makes more sense. Make being a conference champ that much more.
Okay then make it 8 team playoff 5 p5 autobid, 1g5 highest ranked auto bid and highest indy autobid the the last one can be pulled out of a hat of remaining top 25 teams using the lottery method. 8 teams is where it should have been from the beginning and 8 teams is the max it should ever be.IMO that is mutually exclusive.
First of all, you can't auto bid a G5. It would, and should, be based on overall ranking for the last 3.
And it absolutely would then allow in teams that lost their CCG and teams that didn't even play in one. That's who fills those last 3. So it would NOT make winning your CCG that much more important. It would be the opposite and devalue it even more. You could even see teams resting stars in their CCG if losing it wouldn't eliminate them from the playoffs anyway. I mean it wouldn't be common, but it likely would happen at some point.
Yup.I think the point is it isn't really a 4 team now. We had 10 P5s going at it this weekend and many of those games are really the first round leading to the 4.
We just don't need more seeds on top of this round.
dont lose and you are in. Every power 5 team can prove it on the field.I'm just glad that we have a committee of experts to tell us who the best teams are instead of deciding it on the field.
Not true UCF is undefeateddont lose and you are in. Every power 5 team can prove it on the field.
