First it was Urban Meryer's basement getting flooded. The Lou Hotlz' house getting hit by lightening. If I were Charlie Strong, I would move my family to safe quarters!

well, former coach Mack Brown started this run: his house in NC burned to the ground (early this year, or late last year?).

He had just moved all his mementos and memorabilia from Texas to his house in NC....

True. And sad. No matter how anyone felt about Mack Brown at the end, I'm sure no one wished that on him.

But now there seems to be a Lou Holtz connection. No one who coached under him is safe!

that's true. I doubt fire is brave enough to burn Charlie's house down though, it'll just move on to the next one in line.

Already thin along the defensive line, Syracuse’s depth has taken yet another hit.

A school official confirmed Tuesday thatWayne Williams has decided to leave the Orange football program and has been granted a release from his scholarship. Williams told the Syracuse Post-Standardin an email that he intends to pursue a transfer to an undetermined location.

Dismissed FSU LB Ukeme Eligwe moves on to Georgia Southern | CollegeFootballTalk

Booted by Jimbo Fisher back in November of last year, Ukeme Eligwe is getting a fresh start about 250 miles north of Tallahassee.

Eligwe’s high school coach, Dante Ferguson, has confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that his former player has decided to continue his collegiate playing career at Georgia Southern. Eligwe is applying for a waiver that would grant him immediate eligibility.

If that waiver is granted, Eligwe would play for the Eagles in 2015 and have two seasons of eligibility remaining. If it’s denied, he’d have one year of eligibility left that he could use in 2016 for the SBC football program.
