This is why trying to keep Toby Gerhart was such a big deal

Toby obviously wanted to go to a team where he'd have the opportunity to start, but I always said that the Vikings should have tried very hard to keep Gerhart around in the even that Peterson didn't work out for some reason or another. Turns out I was right about that. Although it's impossible to fully make up for a loss as big as Peterson, it sure would have been nice to have had Gerhart to fall back on. It wouldn't surprise me if AP is done as a Viking already. The longer this story drags out, the more and more it's looking like a PR nightmare for the Vikings to try to retain him, not to mention he probably won't be eligible to play until at least after the first 6 weeks of next season after the NFL puts their own suspension on him. Does anyone think Adrian Peterson plays for the Vikings again, plays for another team, or is he done in the league?
