It was said that Detroit had a brighter future than the Charlotte Hornets.

The fact is that the Pistons are the worst-run organization in the Eastern Conference right now, and that includes the Knicks. Seriously, this team has no positive outlook to speak of at the moment. At all.

Drummond was always going to be a tough player to move given his tricky player option at the end of the season, and now all they got is two expiring contracts and a second round pick to show for their supposed "top asset".

Lord only knows what is going on with Luke Kennard's knee, because frankly he is their best player right now. The best they could hope for at this point is a good draft pick.

But hey, at least fans in Detroit are able to catch glimpses of what Derrick Rose used to be.

@ChiefsLakers67

I saw some of the highlights from the Chiefs championship parade. How drunk was Travis Kelce?

Both Charlotte and Detroit have fairly miserable futures.

But yeah, Charlotte’s is probably slightly less miserable today.

Yeah, not sure what Detroit was doing there. I know Drummond was rumored to be on the move but that return was yikes.

I thought they would get a little more, but teams don’t want to invest in centers in 2020 unless they have a modern skill set. Drummond does not.

And yet they were 3-1 vs there Pacers this year, will have a better pick than the Pacers, and finish with as many titles as the Pacers this year. With pretty much as much playoff success as the Pavers will have this year.

The true return is that he can't opt into the last year of his deal and stay in Detroit next season. Rim defenders are still valuable assets, but not at max money.

Every time I see a thread about mismanaged teams and the Wolves are not mentioned I get upset. My Timberwolves fandom is officially a toxic relationship..

Without doing some research, it seems like ive seen the Hornets upward bound more then Detroit before sliding down.

I guess, but what is Charlotte building around?

Nothing that will likely ever get them out of the first round of the playoffs.

So Detroit is probably in the better spot if they are poised to bottom out and let Dombouya and Wood develop while landing a couple high lotto picks.

Sad thing is, the Pistons aren't even close to the worst team I root for.

And the Got damned Lions prolly are the most likely to finish .500 again first. Seriously.

Bill Davidson's death destroyed this franchise. Absolutely crushed it.

This is the beginning of rock bottom for Detroit sports. Only the beginning.

tLCA is nice though.
