Thirty something seconds left, your up 3 knowing you need to keep the ball in-front of you, and at the worst go into OT ... NO WAY IN #@$^ should you get beat over the top in that situation... Especially letting the guy go uncovered ... I"m not trying to play the blame game just yet, but it certainly seem's since Quinn left for Atlanta our defense has lost discipline ... Guy's are just not focused like they were... Every loss this year our D has melted away when it counts... Take away the fumble vs Detroit and that would be 5 losses from lack of defensive in the 4th quarter.... I know our O get's some blame also, but this was a disgusting effort in the 4th quarter...

I wish we would go after the QB more often. Seems we only rush 3 guys most of the time.

Carroll said that they had 2 calls go in, and players were confused as to whether it was c-1 or c-3. That falls squarely on the coaches, I give the players a pass for that one.

What's maddening is the Super Bowl window has closed after 2.5 seasons, and thanks to Bevell they failed to maximize their window.

Were seeing some bad coaching in critical spots for sure... 30 seconds left in a game up 3 there is no excuse to NOT get the right defensive play call in they're.. YOU cannot get beat over the top in that situation EVER ... And if you do, it's not because you weren't there in the right defense... Someone should always be there...

we do not have any ability or desire to cover TEs it seems, just let them run right by uncovered.

before the play you could see he KNEW he would be open and was extremely anxious to get the play off.

No part of this team is as good as we expected it would be. Yes the OLINE is a trainwreck, but the DLine, the secondary, etc. No unit is as good as we thought they would be. The "elite" units arent. And the mediocre units are much much worse.

Dan Quinn. Look at what he has done for the Falcons and you'll know where all the discipline came from when he was still here.

The weak link is now Kris Richards.

I"m leaning that way also ... It just seem's like he's not dealing with the ego's properly ... I notice when he's ranting on the side-lines players just seem to ignore him... Something is up ...

True true, but for the most part ( other then the OL) got the same players playing. Some are coming off injuries and that may play a part and of course Kam held out and I think that plays a part, then a new DC, maybe that plays a part ? I'm not sure yet. Lynch might of hit the wall, but Rawls look like he could be the real deal, so that's encouraging. Lockett looks promising. Times are a changing, let's cross our fingers and hope the SeHawks can also.

If PC knew, then why wasn't a TO called to regroup?

What's maddening is he has the blue print that Quinn left behind. Go back and look at tapes from last couple of years and fix the problem.

I think he learned about it after the fact. If he'd have known beforehand I have no doubt there would have been a TO. But they're making and changing defensive calls and assignments up until the ball is snapped.

I think it also comes down to how you deal with ego's ... Because in the NFL you better know how to get the best out of your players... If they don't respect you that can be a problem ... X's and O's blueprint should be they're.. But I have noticed Richards has blitzed more in certain situations... But these big zone bubbles are starting to remind me of Gus Bradley.... I remember watching our D get discected when Bradley was here sitting in zones all the dam time...

True, I must have read that statement in a way it just didn't click.

YES!!! :gaah: Bradley/Richards defense does seem to mirror image each other with Richards dialing up a few more blitzes. Get rid of the damn bubble zone cause I can't deal with one more 4th quarter collaspe.
