I once said I'd happily give up the chance at an SECCG, otherwise known as the NCG, if UF moved into the top 10 universities academically.
Well shit, it happened as that shit list from US News and WR had us 9th last year while our team went further to shit.
This year's list moved us up to 8th on the same week we lost to freakin' Kentucky. So, we're screwed.
I just wanted to type this out to make it official: I've changed my mind!!

Dear Alumni,
I am very pleased to report to you today that the University of Florida has strengthened its ranking among the nation’s top-10 public universities. The 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings released today now rank UF No. 8, an increase of one place from last year’s No. 9.
UF remains the most highly ranked school in Florida, public or private, and is the only university in the state to be ranked among the nation’s top-10 public institutions.
This year, UF achieved an all-time high ranking among the nation’s best public and private national universities. UF’s ranking at No. 35 represents a 15-point rise during the past two years.
UF’s upward trajectory is the result of tremendous effort on the part of our talented faculty and staff and the ongoing support of Gov. Rick Scott, the Legislature, the Board of Governors and numerous stakeholders, as well as the leadership of our Board of Trustees. To all of them, we extend our heartfelt gratitude.
To you, our loyal alumni, we are especially grateful. Your devotion to your alma mater makes all the difference in the world. Through your gifts and support, UF is being recognized as an institution the state, the nation and the world turn to for leadership. We truly could not do it without you, and for that, I thank you.
Please spread the good news, and remember, it’s great to be a Florida Gator.
Go Gators!
Warm regards,
Kent
