Odds are that VEGAS & MSSM (Main-Stream Sports Media) are perfectly happy with the status quo. They both play/prey on emotional attachments fans make with their teams...and do so to each others' benefit.

To my mind, VEGAS is the equivalent of the Stock Market and MSSM represents the Mass Commercial Market - one separates unlucky investors from their assets, the other sells $billions in branded beer, trucks and $100 team jerseys.

The good part, William, is that, no matter whether our clients make money or lose money, Duke & Duke get the commissions.

Not really ... they have one interest in mind ... laying a line that results in the same amount of bets being placed on both sides. They couldn't care less who is first or second or third. They evaluate each game on it's own circumstances for that game to lay the best line to make money. That process is different than ranking teams.
