One of the best things about college recruiting is when a fanbase goes from "He is unstoppable", "Special", "Amazing"

to oh, he flipped but he wasn't that good anyway. LMAO... I try not to read many comments during recruiting because I have been following this stuff long enough to know how it goes but sometimes I forget how funny people are.

I'll believe all the flips and signings when they step foot on the practice field. "Committed to" these days won't buy you free water from a school hallway.

Agree.

However, early signing period is a week away so these flips after just visiting are probably pretty safe (not 100% safe) but pretty safe to assume they have made up their final mind.

However, as we found out over the years even signing on National Signing/ Early signing doesn't mean everything anymore either. Texas DL DeAntre Robinson after signing got out of his signed LOI to bolt to Florida.

Then there is the transfer portal from year to year so you don't know who you will even keep from a year to year basis beings anyone, anymore more then ever can hit the portal and not just based on lack of PT (which seems like a legit reason) but with the NIL deals now everyone is a free agent anyway.

Then we have the coaching carousel where players have 30 more days to transfers past the transfer window if their team has a coaching change.

You also have gobs of assistants leaving after the early signing period which makes recruit feel some type of way.

There's a lot to clean up with NIL, for sure. And while flips have always happened, NIL and the reasons you mentioned above are making it difficult to enjoy this part of the recruiting season anymore.

There is no letter of intent anymore - only the signed financial agreement. Also - recruits can transfer out without playing for the college that recruits them.

Right.

Florida added 3 top 150 recruits last year who had signed and got out.

That’s just one school too there were many others in the top 150.

I kind of expected the Lions to look at Reynolds when the Broncos cut him loose, but former Bronco Patrick is doing very well over there.

Jared Goff loves Reynolds... He was the reason the Lions signed Reynolds two years ago. Just too crowded over there at WR.. Now if he could play defense he might have a spot.

Parsons regularly says really dumb stuff to the media and on his podcast which this is. There is a huge difference between 30M and 40M and he will know it when negotiations get underway.

I feel for Mingo. White Sox have historically bad year and still pick 10th in Round 1.

Cardinals and Cubs have same record and the Cards move up to #5 and Cubs #17. Last year the Cardinals had a way worse record and picked 7th. (However, they got IMO one of the top 3 players in the draft)

Paying into revenue sharing is the reason the Sox weren't eligible but still dumb.

Yeah, you pissed me off too.

Broncos coach Sean Payton said “I’m mad at myself that we didn’t begin looking at this earlier,” when asked about Marvin Mims’ expanded role as a running back of late.
“He does such a good job running when you watch him return punts that that vision can carry over to certain runs in your offense and then certain things in the passing game,” Payton added. Mims has lined up as a running back on 21 plays since Week 10 per PFF, and over that timespan he has touched the ball 25 times in four games. It’s not quite a FLEX-worthy role yet, but perhaps Payton will emphasize Mims’ role further down the stretch.
