Those jerseys are fantastic - As for the linemates, it's The Flower and the guy from Burnaby (not Kyle Turris).

Sad the amount of talent that was on the Nordiques to never win.

I guess Pierre Page as a head coach during that time period didn't help matters.

They just needed a few years, a relocation, and acquiring arguably one of the best goalies in NHL history to win lol

I mean come on in '92 - '93 they had the Penguins GM in net.

If you can't win with him you can't win at all, oh wait you mean cups and not goalie fights.... :D

EDIT: Back on topic don't forget raping the Flyers. I know it happened prior to the relocation but anytime to poke at Lindros is fun.
And the incompetence of Russ Farwell as a GM.

The Sundin trade tree is so huge to how things played out in the league in the late 90s and yet it's probably only third in significance league-wide with the first two both also being Nords/Avs deals (the Roy trade and the Lindros trade).

Say they don't trade Sundin for Clark. They then don't have a contract dispute with Clark that makes them move him for Claude Lemieux who plays a massive part in their 96 Cup win. But then say they eventually do trade Sundin anyway. Wonder what they would've gotten instead? The list of good players who were traded between 1994 & 1996 is pretty long.

I'll be cow-kicked.

The Penguins were fortunate to win that series. Laurie Boschman had a good goal taken away for kicking in a puck when he clearly didn’t. Pens should have lost in 6 IIRC
