Your original statement makes it all about Griffin. Fact is that yes his injury allowed the coach to see what Cousins could do with the first team offense against a solid defense. Granted it was preseason. But any fan of the team would NOT be questioning what might actually be a blessing in all this. Because lets face it, can you honestly say you think Cousins would be starting right now if this had not happened??

Sure we can question the how it came to be, but I for one am totally fine with the outcome and dont need the coach or the team to come out and say, well we just want to see how Kirk can do with the team. Nothing we have seen over the first two games suggests Griffin would get it done. So Im totally fine with the team saying pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. I think his inability to shut up and get to work has more to do with his failure on the field than any thing. I seriously think he believes the stuff he is saying and thus feels that the problems are not his, but everyone else not recognizing his greatness.

Nah... I think in 12 weeks we will be sitting here asking why in the hell did we give up half a draft for Griffin in the first place. I think we are either going to be the team that every one is asking "Where did this team come from?? " or... "Well what are the Redskins going to do with the #1 pick in the draft??"

In either case I think RG3 is going to be an after thought and will go down in history as the worst draft trade ever.

If Kirk can play average and avoid the turn overs, I can see 10-6. Yes losing Galette hurts, but I think if Barry can do what Haslett promised ( turn lose the defense) we will be a much better team than last year. What I dont see is our offense being stagnant and leaving the defense on the field forever. I dont see the defense making a good stand, only to have the offense do a 3 and out AND lose field position to boot. And Im quietly loving the fact that every one thinks we are going to be the door mat of the NFL. Aside from questions at QB, we should have a very dangerous offense, and while I still have questions in the secondary, our defense is going to be able to force teams to pass. So if we can actually be average in pass coverage, and stop the run as I expect..... lets just say aside from Injury the only real weak spots I see are Safety and QB. And of those the one I think that might be the killer is secondary at this point.

The secondary concerns me. I thought Galette would help to mask that. ESPN ranking us 32 is crazy. We blew out Jax and their top pick blew out his knee. I haven't been talking a lot of smack with my circle, but I am quietly hoping Cousins comes in and rips it up. At least now we can truly see what we have in Gruden.
