I keep hearing this could be Wilfork's last game when he visits Foxboro. We played this game before when Ray Lewis was retiring. That was supposed to be his last game. We know what happened, so lets move on from that.

There is no way in hell that BB is going to let Clowney destroy the game like he did last week vs Oak. Now I know Oak had some injuries on the OL, and they were big, but you cannot let him get off like that. BB IMO will treat Clowney like he does Watt for this game. Prob see if Solder can handle him alone, if not keep Bennett on that side to help out or bring in Flemming or Lengel to help. Also Hou LB are going to have to cover those WR over the middle, so maybe won't get to TB as much. If they don't cover, then TB will pick that middle of the field apart. Prob see Bennett have a big game if that's the case. Have him stay in and block, then release to the flat. Have to play mistake free on the offensive side. We have the weapons to get it done.

BB will not allow Hopkins to go off. He will have his catches, but I expect to see Rowe (who was not here last time) on Hopkins cause they match up pretty good in size, and help over the top for speed. Butler on Fuller (speed vs speed). Ryan and Chung on the two TE. I think we can handle the run, expect HT to have a big game. Duane Brown is active this time, so that should help the OL some. Flowers might have him one on one, be nice to see how that plays out.

However, games are not played on paper nor am I an expert. This is the NFL and anything can happen. Would not shock me if Houston won or if NE blew them out. Just gotta "Do your job"!

First, the Oakland Raiders lost their left tackle and the back up had never played LT before. Going against Clowney was a total mismatch and Del Rio is stupid. He never once gave the guy any extra help. The LG was a rookie and as good as he is, the Texans have Romeo Crennell as their DC and he put in several blitzes and stunts that actually left wide open lanes for the LBs to just cream the QB. Add to that Connor Cook was playing in his first professional game and had never taken a snap with the first team and the entire thing was a recipe for total disaster.

Nate Solder is healthy and dominated Clowney last September. The Pats always put an extra man to help on passing downs a will force Clowney way outside. The extra man is always a tight end and he will peel after 3 seconds and step to the middle. He's generally wide open and is always the 3rd check down.

The Patriots offensive line has been together for the past 9 games. They don't double team the inside and leave a lane. They may double team Wilfork early but Center or Guard will have responsibility to push Vince left or right to close that hole. Vince is no longer able to move as quick as he did and generally just plugs a hole with his size. The Houston linebackers will NOT have 5 seconds to get to Brady. The ball will already be in the end zone.

Finally and probably most important, the Texans got beat in September by the Patriots rookie, third string QB, Jacoby Brissett, 27-0. Tom Brady AIN'T Connor Cook. The only thing that Cook has in common with Brady is that he graduated from the University of Michigan.

I don't think the LG for Oakland was a rookie. This was his first year playing with Oakland but he was an All-Pro LG this year. He played for Baltimore before coming on the biggest LG contract in NFL history.

And I would say it isn't Clowney I would worry too much about. Yeah they will double him or chip him throughout the game but it is Mercilus on the other side. He has dominated this year.

Also Connor Cook played for Michigan State not Michigan.

As for the actual game yeah I don't think this one will be close. Houston got a very nice 1st round draw against a depleted Raiders team. Very different situation walking into Gillette against a rested Patriots team that whooped up without Brady last time on them.

Not this Sunday.

So Brock gets up by two scores early and then rides out the Pat's defense the rest of the game keeping pace with Brady.

or

Pats go up two scores early, the Houston D steps up and shuts down Brady while Brock goes on a three score rip on the Patriots D.

Simply pick which you think is the least ridiculous.

Plenty of times teams with no shot, have actually won. I remember a team from NE going up against the mighty Rams in the SB. NO shot this little team from NE had....then I believe a certain owner said "We shocked the world"....

Then a team from NY had no shot vs this undefeated NE team, well.......

A team from Baltimore was heading to Foxboro for a retirement party for Ray Lewis.....well......

The Patriots or Chiefs will be the AFC team in the SB. The Cowboys or Packers will be the NFC team in the SB.

Fine if a lot of people are taking it lightly as long as the Pats don't. No repeat of the Seattle game.
The Pats should beat the Texans.

Yet in retrospect, we now know that NE had a hall if fame QB and the greatest coach in the history of the league. Brock ain't HOF material.

Then a team from NY had no shot vs this undefeated NE team, well.......

Except that the team from NY had just won three tough games to get there and the undefeated team was clearly running out of steam barely beating the Giants to close the season. None of that can be said about today's game. Texans got here by beating a QB making his first start.

A team from Baltimore was heading to Foxboro for a retirement party for Ray Lewis.....well......

Ravens weren't close to being 16pt dogs.

I just don't see any sliver of chance for the Texans.

43-10 NE. I think NE gets an early lead and the Texas become one dimensional. NE feasts on a couple turn-overs. Houston gets a couple late garbage time points maybe they score 16?

No way I am. No one should. This isn't going to be as easy as people think.
