"A source confirmed with CBS reporter Gary Parrish that Marvin Bagley III has considered skipping his senior year of high school to play in college this season. The 6'11" athletic forward has been touted by some as a potential No. 1 pick if he were to enter the 2018 NBA Draft."

I don't know.....I guess it's the equivalent of him dropping out of HS? Not sure.

He can reclassify his grade if he has the high school equivalence to graduate now. Several players have done it recently to fit into a college roster now instead of waiting a year in high school. Bagley is that good now. His school lists include Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, USC, and Kansas per scout.com.

Is this kid related to John Bagley who played for the Cavs fro 1982-1987?

I only know he's "Pogo" Joe Caldwell's grandson. I remember watching "Jumping Joe Caldwell" back when he played for the Carolina Cougars.

Saw he's down to USC, Zona and Duke. If he goes to Zona/USC I think they immediately become the preseason #1. Duke I think will almost assuredly be top 3 if he goes there.

I think he ends up at Arizona just because he lives there. Also, I really don't think he'll reclassify either, but things always change last minute it seems in recruiting.

Interesting. I'm not really a fan of reclassifying. Emmanuel Akot already did that to us this year and now will probably ride the bench more than he expects. Of course Bagley is a whole different animal. If he is paired with Ayton in the front court that could be really really special.

Oh he's a dynamic player. He can do it all. If he comes to Duke he will create a new pecking order and I'm assuming that will be the case wherever he lands.

He's the best high school prospect I've seen in person since Anthony Davis. Not the most freakish athlete, but I can't think of any teenager his height who is as coordinated as he is. He seems to know where he is at all times, where the ball is at all times, where his teammates are at all times, and what he has to do to make great plays. He's going to be a great college and NBA player.

He's also the age of a graduate. He turned 18 in March.
