Do they really? Never knew that but it makes sense.
Probably not since ESPN doubled their contract in 2014 and CBS bought in last year, but it is still not a viable product on its own.Yeah, I know the NBA has always propped the WNBA up financially. I don't know if they have to as much as they did when it first started though.

They make decent money, obviously nothing like NBA players but enough to make a living, support a family. Overall, the average WNBA players make around $79,000 while the maximum salary caps at $117,500. The minimum player salary for players with three or more years of service is $56,375.
And that's half a year. They can maybe get a little more with local endorsements and such.
It's a legit career for the ones good enough to play at that levelMany of them also play overseas. They make a lot more overseas.
