It ebbs and flows. But they need to trade for some help if they care about this year. Now on pace to go 87-75 (I wish I did this more during the winning streak. That would have been fun).
Disco, Madaea and Strippling have all been bad gambles by this FO.Sooner rather than later, the Giants are going to need to admit that they made a mistake with the DeSclafani contract. His outings are just not competitive and that's been the case since the start of last year.
I'm still holding out some hope for Strip.Disco, Madaea and Strippling have all been bad gambles by this FO.

Because he likely isn't going anywhere yet, Stripling has some time to turn it around. But this brings up the question, if the Giants pick up a starter and/or reliever, who gets the axe from the active roster? Do the Giants decide one or two of these guys need to go or do they option a pitcher (i.e. Ryan Walker) who deserves to stay on the roster because they've invested money into guys that are not panning out?I'm still holding out some hope for Strip.
But Sean and Tony? Adios.
sunk cost...free up the roster spots.
I doubt FZ will DFA Sean or Tony until the offseason. But, you never know.Because he likely isn't going anywhere yet, Stripling has some time to turn it around.
