the zone read offense

is it just me, thinking the spread option offense is not difficult to defend for anyone who has any brains on defense? Teams with the speed like ut and ou seem too shut it down fairly easily, no need to cover our receivers for obvious reasons. texas had as many as 4 guys on Martinez at times, wouldn't that free up some other play calls? I sure hope we have not been reduced to a qb sneak/option only offense. I wouldn't even know where to begin with the ass chewing this week, coaching then players. Our O line just got worked today!

All depends on the read.......

The zone read should be 3 yards everyplay..... the only time it should be for less means the QB made the wrong read.....


It sure helps the defense when the recievers can't catch the fucking ball- so the coverage can then play up..........

not trying to come off as a troll because i know you guys are all a little upset because of the loss but just look at Oregon and how they run the Zone option read. we do very well with it. Here are a few of the keys to having a great offense when using the read.

1.SPEED your offense needs to be fast all across the board
2.Offensive lineman need to block down field. get up quick and move
3.Good QB who can make the right reads
4.WRs that can block and block very well
5.Good RB vision, must be quick to change direction

The zone read offense doesn't work when the same middle read play is called every fucking down..
