Hmm. What's wrong with Massaquoi?

Besides being the worst player in the history of college football?

...Ok, that's a stretch. I don't remember the last time I've seen a DE prospect most people considered a mid round guy who is so easily pushed around and taken out of plays.

I think the only reason people even know who he is is because of (1) sack totals from last year and (2) Demarcus Ware. But 3 of those sacks were against North Texas, 3 were against Louisian-Monroe, 1.5 were against Middle Tennessee, and 1.5 were against Florida Atlantic.

This season ALL of his 5.5 sacks came against similarly sucky squads. He had 1 sack against Oklahoma St last year, and I'm sure the QB would have had to have fumbled the snap on that play.

I wouldn't draft this guy at all. MAYBE bring him in as an UDFA.

We'll agree to diagree. It's slim pickins at this point in a shallow draft like this. A guy like Massaquoi can be a solid rotational pass-rusher in the 3-4 - especially as a mid-round guy.

Like I said in the other thread, though, If I were Baalke I'd push hard for Boykin or Chapman, get a depth interior OL, and just trade our remaining picks for 2013 picks.

In no particular order:

DE Crick
NT Chapman
OG Brooks
CB Boykins
NT Martin
DE Guyton

Massaquoi has workout numbers going for him, I'll give him that. And I'm not one of those goobers who ignores workout numbers.

Don't expect him to shed any blocks or tackle a RB though.

Y'know on second thought this draft may be out of draftable players by the 6th round because it's so weak, so I suppose Massaquoi could be worth a flyer based on his athletic ability. I have to stop thinking in terms of a normal draft.

My first choice would be Crick.

Also like George Iloka

Massie and Crick would be 2 good picks and I would be happy with the draft if we can land a decent OL and DL
