I like the Negan finale scene better without the fbombs. It makes him seem more intimidating.

The more I think about it, the scene with Rick being forced to choose between the gang or cutting off Carl's arm just might be the best in the episode. Pretty damn intense.

Next 6 episodes will be the same scene but from the perspective of the others.

I mean I don't really know something more than Suck my Nuts at least

Chances are, with a blow like that to the head, it would've been something like, "duh...late for football practice."...or..."Are we at Grandma's yet, Mom?"

This may have already been mentioned but after Negan left them , the main people were still on their knees I think- did anyone notice the guy in the background taking a Polaroid of the bashed head of Glenn or Abe

I agree with @calsnowskier, that-that scene meant nothing.

He was literally imaging what Negan asked him?

fwiw, I thought that was the worst scene of the episode....reminded me of Happy Gilmore and Chubbs.

I honestly don't know how that scene could be perceived any other way that what you guys are saying. I don't think there was any intent to be subtle or to leave it open to interpretation. That was clearly Rick's imagination in response to Negan saying something like "Did you actually think you were all going to grow old together?"

I like the Negan finale scene better without the fbombs. It makes him seem more intimidating.

After 6 seasons of character like Rick, Daryl, Merle, Shane, Abraham, etc. never saying "fuck" in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, it would make very little sense for Negan to all of a sudden show up and start saying it all the time. I think we just have to assume that the word doesn't exist in this world, just like the word "zombie" does not.

That being said, I'm really not sure why not. Breaking Bad aired on the same network, in the exact same time slot, just a different season. That show was a lot less gory but still used the F word quite a bit.

As does Mr Robot. That show is littered with it. Same with South Park.

Okay, Abe got bashed, but in my defense he would have been a really good worker for Negan. Abe is not Rick's right hand man either. I was hoping Daryl would get popped but that'd be too risky. The fans seem pleased with this episode so why burn Daryl.

The crushed skulls didn't bother me, just looked like playdough. Glen with a hole poked in his brain and trying to talk to his pregnant wife who's in the middle of a miscarriage was a little disturbing. But if that's what happened in the comics then the comic readers were already expecting it. It just seems as though the writers only stay true to the comics when it benefits them. The decision to make was too hard so just go with the original. I know they shot the kill scenes for every character, they showed a few during the episode, so they really didn't know what to do.

Overall, I thought it was a good episode to start with. Rick is no longer the leader of an immortal group, so now we get to see things from a nobody's perspective. This season could end up being pretty good.

Why does it need the F bomb? The show has worked well so far and I haven't missed that word.
