For me, I started losing it around that time (right after the Governor got killed) but with them being stuck in Alexandria for so long just felt like absolutely nothing happening for long periods of time was the straw that broke the camels back.

I hung in longer than you guys. This season has just been really bad. If it would have started like this there wouldn't have been a second season.

I thought Neegan was a compelling villain and I was very happy when the "war" started but it's been a real grind this season.

I still waiting for Neegan to get taken down

Eugene too.

Dare they have Negan take the
Beta
arc?

I seriously doubt it. That is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Unless... (and I don’t like this idea, but...)

Negan = Beta
Simon = Negan

But ultimately, I think this is just adding a lot of depth to Alphas final destiny. Having the two of them having a history makes her death mean a lot more.

I loved this one.

The scene with Rick and Morgan was easily my favorite part, especially when Rick betrays the saviors. I also liked learning a bit more about Negan's backstory and why the bat means so much to him. (I don't read the comics so I was wondering about that)

I thought that was one of the better episodes of the season. Rick and Morgan turning on the Saviors was pretty dark and awesome. I figured they'd only kill Jared, who had a pretty cool death scene.

I'm actually interested to know what is going on with Jadis now. Never thought I would say that.

Fairly new to the show. Only watched last 2-3 seasons. Wondering who Negan picked up. Haven't seen the Preist in a while. Hell he may be dead though and I'm just not thinking about it. I also thought possibly Gregory. Don't think it was Dwight because he was shown in the previews.

Gabriel (the priest) is a tough the bullet factory with Eugene. It wasn’t him.

My first thought was that it was Gregory, but I think that is a bit too obvious.

There is one minor arc that they haven’t played out in the show yet that this may be a part of...

Kal

But they would have to use a different character and the timing would be way off from the books.

Maybe Jesus will play the Kal role? They haven’t done anything with his character in a while, but making Jesus a Judas is just too weird.

So, I made it through 7 1/2 seasons of this show without missing a minute of it but I have walked away this half season and I kinda feel bad because I invested so much time in the show but it just became unwatchable for me.

I read that 60 minutes beat it in the ratings for the first time in like 6 or 7 years last night.

I haven't watched since Negan and Gabriel were stuck in the trailer together. Been meaning to catch up, but Bob Saget had a comedy special on, so.... Ya know. :D ;)

I think the person Negan picked up was the savior that got away when Dwight turned on them. Otherwise maybe Gregory. Not really sure who else it could be. I thought maybe Heath but Negan definitely seemed to know the person he picked up. I suppose Aaron could be an option since he did encounter Aaron before but I wouldn't say he was very familiar with him.

Good call. They really built up Dwight’s anxiety about him at the time.

So is rick just solidly a villain now? He killed people behind their backs who were willing to join him.

I didn’t like Ricks heel turn. It didn’t really make sense.

Granted, in the books, Rick was kinda the heel at this point as well, so I guess you gotta give it to them for keeping the tenor of the story intact.
