I didn't see one, so I made one, but I'm not very creative, so, you know, deal with it.

1 - 0 Penguins on a pretty goal by Dupuis. Brent Johnson has looked great in the early goings.

I feel like I might be largely alone in this thread, but regardless, a good defensive play by Orpik on an Eric Staal breakaway, and he takes a pretty dumb retaliation penalty. Powerplay for the Penguins.

Penguins looked good on the powerplay but couldn't score. Now the Canes are on the man advantage after a Lovejoy penalty.

Thank you Dash.. I started the last two Pens GNT and we lost... I didn't dare start another one.

Was a good period of hockey. Pens playing with alot of energy, but that is nothing new, playing that way for 60 minutes, that'll be new for this year... hopefully this effort continues.

Brooks had a nice play on Staal... Ward had a nice stop on Letestu.. Johnson playing solid. All and all, nothing outstanding or alarming.

I think the PP will look more coherent without Malkin... not a knock on Malkin, just a knock on the system the Pens would play with Malkin in the line-up.

More coherent does not mean we'll score, but hopefully we won't give up a shortie (would be the 3rd game in a row if we do)...

Lots of chances for the Penguins there. Ward was up to the challenge.

Well, that's one way to score, Talbot.

Nice play by Orpik to take away the Canes' options, letting Johnson make a pretty routine save.

Nice play by Engelland. I'm liking this guy.

Letestu is a smart player... I'm really liking him.

Ward, obviously, would love to have the Talbot goal back... sometimes hard work just pays off. See Pens... play hard and you get rewarded. Johnson still looking good.

I think the most improved Pen so far this year is Engelland... early in the year he was caught flat-footed at times and players were able to skate right by him. He is just more comfortable on ths ice and plays within himself. Nods to Letang and Johnson as well, but I didn't expect much from Engellang heading into this year other than depth.

McBain (sp?) tripping up Sid at the end.. one of two things will happen, someone throws a big check into him, or Sid takes a slashing penalty against him.

20 more minutes... keep the energy up Pens...

Letang leaving is not good...

Fleury has already been stuffed into the back of the van. We're taking him away for a long time, guys. No need to worry. The Cup parade is back on.
