No, CFB is fine without them. That program was the SMU of the southeast and cheated their way to the top every time they rose up. That wont happen again and it shouldn't. The most that program can hope for now is 7-9 wins per year in their empty stadium. Think Northwestern, Pitt, Houston, Duke ect.. not BAD programs (when they are not cheating) but nowhere near "elite" like those teams seemed to be way back when.College Football needs the "U" to be back.
Nothing is more entertaining like a dominant Miami Hurricanes.
They embrace the role of villain with an almost impossible level of showmanship and hubris.
That can't maintain it for long....as they burn themselves out after a few years of insane over the top antics...
When the "swagger" is in full force, it is literally must see TV.
Alabama, Texas, OU, Mich, Ohio State, nebraska, notre dame... and every other blue blood combined has never been able to do it with that level of style.
I am rooting for a return of the "U".
