I know most Pistons fans don't like the jersey in large part because it doesn't properly symbolize Bad Boy culture...
That said growing up as a kid at the time I thought it portrayed the state of Michigan quite fine with a bit of a Great Lakes feel. Don't know if too many fans in Detroit ever saw it in that regard.
To me continously sporting an 80's style logo and color scheme that they have the last two decades is nothing more than a desperate attempt to hang onto something that's just not going to be there anymore.
If if one were to try to emulate the Bad Boys, you really couldn't in this generation without being called for a cheap flagrant foul...
