I know most Pistons fans don't like the jersey in large part because it doesn't properly symbolize Bad Boy culture...

That said growing up as a kid at the time I thought it portrayed the state of Michigan quite fine with a bit of a Great Lakes feel. Don't know if too many fans in Detroit ever saw it in that regard.

To me continously sporting an 80's style logo and color scheme that they have the last two decades is nothing more than a desperate attempt to hang onto something that's just not going to be there anymore.

If if one were to try to emulate the Bad Boys, you really couldn't in this generation without being called for a cheap flagrant foul...

Apparently this is too much of a culture shock for California people to understand, so let me simplify it:

Sometimes you just don't mess with a classic. Detroit's red, white, and blue color scheming just works. The simpler they keep their stylings and fonts, the sleeker and crisper they look too. When they've tried other things over the years, it gets messy.

I don't mind the horsehead logo though. I've seen some fan schemes with it using the red/white/blue scheme that looks pretty solid. Stuff like this:

And I really like this retro inspired design

Always have liked the middle left horse.

I’ve never seen teal water in the Great Lakes. Some of the most beautiful blues. Especially just north of Detroit. It’s Blue Water.

They aren’t wearing them all the time. So I don’t care. But I hate these unis. Joe D did the right thing when he first took over. Switched to red alts immediately. And I don’t like those either. But they’re better. Since they’re a regular Pistons uni, but red.

The Bad Boys has its own logo.

Skull and crossed bones over a basketball. It’s been around 30 years. They sell it in the arena.

The only people I know that like this logo are not Pistons fans. I am yet to meet a Pistons fan who says, " yeah, let's rock the teal!". You say that they are trying to hold on to the bad boys with the red white and blue, but it was around before even then; its just classic Pistons. And if you don't like them using a logo because it is old from a successful era, what is the point in recycling a logo from a failed era? And ones that actual fans of the team don't like?

I think it is just your lo e of Stackhouse that makes you want us to wear them. If anything is changing they should try something new for this new era.

I tried my darkest not to mention Stack here, but it's not just him... Jaden Ivey is from South Bend and I'll have some rooting interest there as well.

I was just stating the obvious that if you look at Detroit's current logo of just a basketball that it's ridiculously boring and outdated.

Look, I get that you're butthurt that I think Draymond is a marginal role player at this stage while you believe he's a superstar.

But, that doesn't mean you need to act like an adolescent teenager and attempt to ruin what could be a nostalgic basketball thread...

I don't like the teal. But it's fine. Kids these days wear bright ass shoes so it's probably a good marketing opportunity

You didn't create a nostalgic thread, you just made something to rant about bad boy culture.

Draymond takes up a lot of head space for you. Probably best served saving that to put some basketball knowledge in there.

I'd rather they come up with something new rather than bring back the teal. But I fear they may come up with a monstrosity like the Heat have.

But mostly, if they can get back to winning basketball I don't care what they wear.

Personally, I would stay away from any references to "DP"...
