At this time, just about anything is better than what they've been doing. Definitely keep two dmen near the crease to help with rebounds.

Absolutely, change it before it's too late. I am holding out hope to see differences in the PK and their whole game for that matter. The old way wasn't working, glad to see that they are trying to get creative, Lord knows Hitchcock is.

McLellan on penalty kill: ‘We don?t want them to be careful. We want them to be confident when they leave those positions’ | Working the Corners

I wonder if that passive bullshit is done finally, Winnik,Moore, and Galliardi all stated how passive the sharks PK was when they got here, sounds like the change maybe coming.

Doubt it. Sounds like he is more angry about losing faceoffs (which kill 20-30 seconds) rather than actually having a system that works. The whole "different guys have different reads" is the whole problem. Either all need to be aggressive and support or it doesnt work. One guy who leaves his position needs everybody too because if he goes out and all others stay locked then we will lose the puck battles with no support and end up just running around and giving up tap ins. Good PKs pick a spot to isolate like in the corner or half boards and then attack the PP with all four guys around the puck. half assed attacks dont work.
