We did what we had to do, and here we are sitting at 5-0 heading into East Lansing to take on a top 10 opponent. Oh and do we ever owe them for last season.

The issues that we currently have are no secret. Defensively we cannot afford to slip up early and allow MSU to go straight down and score. We've been able to overcome it in all the other games, including tonight, but it won't work this time.

This time Bo better have his guys ready to come out swinging right out the gates. No waiting around until the 2nd quarter to start settling in. Won't work this time.

If we win this game, suddenly everyone is forced to take us seriously. Personally, if we win this game I will be absolutely shocked, and I will feel like we are in a place that we have really never been since Bo has been here.

Biggest game we've had since the Big 10 Championship a couple years ago. Do we perform like we did that night? Or do we finally man up?

There has not been a bigger game in Bo's time here.

You'd have to go back to 2001 for the last time Nebraska went 6-0.

That will apply to games 7 thru 11 as well.

It's critical that Nebraska can run the ball effectively, because if they have to rely on TA's passing, we're in deep doo doo. Despite TA's passing, he is way more of an asset than a liability.

I can't wait until the point spreads come out. I'll say about -3.5 Michigan St. That's just a wild guess.

HUGE game, biggest regular season game of Bo Pelini's career IMO... and it's winnable. The best news is that we have a BYE after this game so if we do win we will have a week to get over it and get ready for Northwestern.

If we win and go 6-0 it would be the first time we've been 6-0 since 2001.

It's so true that the Huskers are not taken seriously on the national stage, but why should they be based on the past seasons under Bo. The key this week will be how the guys are prepared to play. Every team is beatable, but the "Experts" will expect a collapse on our side after the team is half-ass prepared to play on a big stage. This week the motto should be, "If your want it, then prove it!"

I wouldn't say this is Bo's biggest game. I understand y'all's point but I view it a bit differently

The way I see it, if we win, every game AFTER becomes Bo's biggest of his time here. Every one....

If we win this game our schedule essentially becomes a joke and we put ourselves in position to potentially make the CFB playoff. To me, this is a HUGE game for Bo, but not his "biggest"

Nebraska has a chance, a really small one.

If Nebraska wins, I will wear a Dan Beebe Avatar until October 18.

Michigan State's defense will stop Nebraska and Nebraska's defense won't stop Michigan State.

I think we stand a good chance against Mich St. They will certainly be our toughest opponent this season but Bo has a good record against them. GBR

If we can play disciplined and don't try to be something we're not, we can beat them. It will be a tough game for sure though.

It's not so much Michigan State that has me worried......it's us that has me worried.

Consider the position that we're in and how huge this game is. Then think about how Bo's teams have done in the past in similar situations.

Did anyone notice the safeties showing pressure yesterday? I haven't looked through the game thread, but that was one big positive I noticed. It led to Gerry's INT when he showed blitz and then sprinted back and played center field. QB didn't even see him.

Bo was throwing some different packages at them he said.

He was for sure. Not sure how much it showed up on TV cause I haven't watched the game yet, but there were times where we showed a no-safety look and then usually pulled one of them back pre-snap.

He said he actually pulled back on it there in the 4th quarter and went back vanilla because he wanted to save it and not show too much.

Buck up JJM, dont ruin this season for yourself. We have a quality product on the field. They will have to prove its smoke and mirrors before I believe it.We re running the ball like its who we are. Proud to be a Husker fan and I dont need ESPN to tell me we re good.
