Well, he's got a bunch of weeks to show it all.

So far, it's pretty lovely.

So let's assume Mazara blows our freaking minds and hits .290+ with 5 or so home runs until Choo comes back. DDJ is hitting around .250, but getting on base at a .350 clip (which I anticipate), Moreland is still in the toilet, but Desmond is hitting around .240-.250 with a handful of dingers. Also, to make things more interesting, Rua is hitting .270ish with a handful of dingers as well. What do you do if you're JD?

No, this is a great question and its not far-fetched by any stretch. First blush, Choo gets pine time on the short run, and MM is at best in a platoon at 1st.

But MM is a strickie SOB. What makes me go insane about this guy is he knows he MUCH better when using the entire field, yet teams routinely put 3 guys or the right side and he does little about it.

I hope we play the best players. Desmond and DDJ split some time. Hopefully Rua and Mitch do too. Injuries always a factor. Josh maybe in the equation too if for some reason he gets healthy and can swing a bat
