Honestly, doesn't he look almost thin?

He doesn't have to bulk up, just grow up/mature and his natural strength will follow.

Im about 6'2 200 and fairly muscular(for 42), and I think he's listed at 6'3 or so and 185-90. At fanfest I thought he personally looked bigger than that or bigger than I am, obviously w room to grow. Solid frame

Desmond looks like a natural CF out there.

He does.

Swear, he seems to glide around much better than Martin ever did. Takes charge a little too it seems.

If we make the ALDS this year, Banny needs to realize Colby needs to be in that rotation.

Then 20 lbs is a given.

You're certainly correct on the horrid play outta Choo in LF.

Choo's contract is becoming more of an albatross isn't it? Always bad, but if he'd stayed healthy and productive this year, someone else might have had interest.

I still like having Choo.

Less albatross, more inconvenience

Me too.....but DDJ is such a starter kit in the LO spot. No power, and at least Choo does have some.

But DDJ's speed is so much better.

Choo should provide similar OBP. Truth is, DDJ is really only valuable if he's getting on base and causing havoc.

Don't we owe him around $100 mil? If that's close, that's a lot of inconvenience.

Even if traded, we'll have to eat a bunch.

You need to ask your first base umpire about that one.

Yeah thought i had also seen him at 6'4 somewhere too. Possibly the lighter was at baseballreference maybe an old weight. I also was looking at Brinson at the same time who isn't quite as tall and has a thinner frame. Want to say he was listed around 6'1 and 170

I sure liked the late 2015 Choo. He has seemed to get more comfortable out in right. But it seems like Mazara has been earmarked for RF when he is here to stay

He's still likely to come close to matching the value of his contract.

He's still a useful player, Carl Crawford or Sabathia would be albatrosses to me

Edit: Add Sandoval to that list
