The best WR in the league is Calvin Johnson, followed by AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, and Julio Jones.

Same concept as the QB Rankings.

Assume each WR is paid the same, has a QB who fits the system he plays best in, and that age is only a factor in production - NOT in length of career.

Example: Don't vote for a younger guy than Larry Fitzgerald because Fitzgerald has a few years left only and the younger guy may have more years. DO vote for the younger guy if you think his skills are better THIS year or is a better WR at this stage. Got it?

I don't know WRs as well as QBs, so I'm guessing on who is in the discussion - but am putting the maximum options out there because I'm not that familiar. I realize this first poll isn't likely to be more than a three or four man race. I think I know who's going to win, but can't be sure.

I am not sure how far this series will go, but it will not be the full 32. Please give your real opinion. Thanks.

I used all 12 without an Other - so write in if you think someone else is the best, but right now, absent troll votes, I doubt there are. Riley Cooper, Eric Decker, Anquan Boldin, Michael Floyd, Julian Edelman, T.Y. Hilton, Golden Tate, Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, James Jones, Marques Colston, and Kendall Wright will make their appearances at some point. So, it looks like we might be going Top 16. (There are 27 WRs between this list and the options above - 11 be there for show, in essence, at the end.)

Any one I am missing for next round consideration? Anyone above (poll options) who should be removed?

He wont be considered the best of the group now, but considering his age and what he's already doing, I'll take my boy Alshon Jeffrey all day.

On Dizney when I said Jeffery would be a beast in the league nyfan would post all his fat pics up from his junior year.

Hes a stud. And he is now training in the offseason with B. Marsh. I think he sees his own potential now. Nothing but up for this kid. Bears have the best receiving tandem by a landslide.

God that feels weird typing that?

Hold your horses for a minute there. Better than Roddy White and Julio Jones?

I believe so, if for no other reason than durability. JJ has yet to prove he can stay healthy, and White too.

Ok, so maybe not by a landslide, but i still like em better than ATL's .

Last season was the first time injuries ever made an impact on Roddy's performance.

I'd have Jordy Nelson over every single WR in the list above and at least over Allen, Harvin, Patterson, and Smith on the poll list but I'm a Packers fan so maybe he really isn't a top 25ish WR at all.

Right now on the above list I would remove Harvin, Patterson, and Smith. Harvin just can't stay healthy enough to be even in the talks for top-15. When healthy yes he is a major weapon but lately he seems more likely to miss a game than actually play in one. Patterson we just don't know yet as he hasn't had great quarterback play around him. He looks like a playmaker but too early to put him with this caliber of receiver. Smith is more of a one-trick pony for Baltimore. I view him as a good #2 receiver but nowhere near #1 material.

Guys I would replace them with...As mentioned above Jordy Nelson does not get the respect he deserves. The guy is a major playmaker and seems like the go to guy when Rodgers needs a big play. Garcon is another I would add to the list. He isn't quite top 10 at this point but he deserves to be one that goes in the next 12 receivers. Now this is a bit of a homer pick I guess you could say but I still think Welker deserves to be in the top of top-20 receivers in the league. He had some injury issues this past season but when he was in the man was a playmaker and put up a 10 touchdown season for the first time in his career. So still shows plenty left in the tank.

how is patterson listed

Write-in with no objections in that thread. In my defense, it wasn't a write-in for top 5, it was a write-in to be on the poll options (next 12 after the top 5). But enough objections have come since and of course, no votes, so I will move him out or combine him somewhere.

Percy Harvin was there on reputation when healthy and Torrey Smith finished in the top 15 or so statistically speaking, which is why I had him there. But there have been some good suggestions that may move them out. I'll think about it and do some Googling of stats and such. I know QBs better than WRs.

I'll adopt the same arguments for why he should have been #4, why he should have been #5, and why he should at least be #6.

Andre Johnson is getting no love here. :noidea:

Some people (2 of them) need to have their voting right removed immediately and sent for mandatory NFL counseling. WTF? Dude has caught like 20 balls in his entire career.
