I know everybody wants to crucify the defense (they have been bad) but take into consideration our opponents and our offense.

DET- #3 in the total offense. If you take away our game they are still averaging 396 YPG which is #5 in the NFL.

GB- #2 in total offense. If you take away our game they are still averaging 393 yards total offense which is #5 in the NFL.

PHI- #1 in total offense. If you take away our game they are still averaging 471 yard total offense which is still #1 in the NFL. Philadelphia only had 89 yards in the second half against us.


In the first quarter of games this season our defense has scored 14 points while our offense has scored ZERO points. Not a damn point.

We have turned the ball over 6 times already this season. Last year we led the NFL in fewest giveaways and this season we are giving it up more than 22 other teams.

I'm not giving the defense a pass either. Their tackling has been horrendous. I have never seen more missed tackles than I have this season.


The good news is RG3 looked better last game. He was running the football and keeping plays alive. Both turnovers were flukes...one was a pass he was trying to throw away but kept it inbounds as he got hit and the second was a head first slide. Neither will happen again. Also, Aldrick Robinson dropped the game equalizing pass. This is what happens to teams when things aren't going well but things do change.

I still think we win the division.

The Redskins defense has been nothing short of pathetic. Every 3rd down that we need we never stop.
After we score and need a stop we always give up points.
Something needs to change very fast or else this will be a very long year.

Just think, we still have to go play Denver IN DENVER, could be a very very ugly game

Raptor, I showed you what they would be ranked without our game against those teams. They would be ranked #1, #5, and #5. Technically they would both be ranked #4 because I counted their team as one they would be behind.

Their ranked that highly on offense because they put up a lot of yards against everybody.

I posted the actual stats on another thread and people are still talking. We have faced 3 good offenses and with missing 2 of our starters up front we knew it would not be easy. I hope that we can turn the corner and get a win this week and then build from there with our full defensive line and make some things happen.

But everybody runs at will on us because we can't tackle and our scheme sucks. We make career back ups into the next coming of Jim Brown.

The worst part is there is no answer for our defensive woes this year. I shudder to think ahead to the Denver game. Peyton may throw for 600 yards against us. Our only hope is the our offense finally starts to click and we maybe can pull out some wins in shootouts.

I am not giving them a free pass, but you also have to look at who we played. Philly put up 431yds on KC, and they are one of the best defenses in the league. GB put up almost 400 yds on SF and Cincy. Again, some of the best defenses in the league. We will be fine, we need to not panic and look at the bright side. RG3 looked better, we held a team under 100 yds rushing, and we had a chance to win the game in the end if only a couple of things went our way. Right now the ball is bouncing the other way and soon, with better improvement, we will start to get some breaks. As for Denver, name me one person that actually gave us a chance to win that game at the beginning of the year. That has always been a game that we all thought we would lose because of the talent they have. We might surprise them if we can get things rolling, but it is not likely. So who cares if Manning puts up 600 yds. It was a game we were not counting on.

But if we drop this game to Oakland (which I actually expect us to lose at this point) then you can consider this team in full free fall mode. 0-4 going into the bye week and with the real meat of the schedule still to come. we needed to be at worst 2-2 going into our bye. 0-4 would mean we basically dont have any margin for error or we are basically considering this a training year for 2014. Either proposition sucks.

If a Tim Tebow led team can win a playoff game against Pittsburgh...An RG3 led team can win a regular season game in Denver.

Mitz... if RG3 were playing like he did last year, I would agree with you. But for what ever reason, he is trying to play like a classic pocket passer. We dont have the O-line for him to play that style. Last year he was willing to do what ever it took to win. This year... not so much apparently.

With the exception of those two very costly turnovers by RG3, I thought he had a pretty good game. If AA had held on to that pass, wouldn't everyone be looking at the Detroit game in a different light? HAIL yes they would, and most would have said the defense played well! Which I think they did by the way, compared to the first two.

So many, so called Redskins fans jumped off the Skins bandwagon after last years 3-6 start. Same is true this season....Imagine that? I'm a Redskins fan. I won't say what needs to change until after the season, but until then I support my TEAM 100%. This TEAM, showed me something last season that has been missing for a long time. Did you not see it? Do you not believe it? If not, that's OK, but keep those thoughts of the last 20 years of Redskins failures to yourself because the young man/men leading this TEAM, and RG3 needs your support...just like your son.

Believe in what they can be, not what they are right now...and, everything will be OK. Trust me on that.

3 confrence losses closed a door??? really? We all know that only 1 team from our beloved NFC East is going to the playoffs this year....So wild cards are out of the picture....

It will take a NFC East division Win to make the playoffs, and those 3 losses, while they hurt....are not the Death Blow since The East is so weak.......

all i am saying is being 0-3 in conference certainly rules out any wild card hope . that is been decided on the field and not a prediction

the division also could be in jeopardy because of tie breakers as well . those 1st 3 losses hurt us because of it being divisional and conference losses
