I was glad to see him go to the ground. He took enough hits for one half as it was.

Bronco scientists are working on a surrender flag that will pop out of Manning's shoulder pads when danger is near, but it won't be ready until the regular season.

Kyle Orton could have used this effectively.

Hopefully you guys seriously don't think Manning could of out run or made a Wilson-esk move to avoid Bowman or anyone for that matter. Can't say remember him being very agile at 25 let alone 39 yrs old. Come on man! :)

Yeah preseason I'm glad he did what he did. We've seen him in the regular season though try to move a bit more. From what I understand with his training he really worked on his foot quickness this off season so there is more of a chance this year that he tries to fight through some of those guys coming at him.

I've got no problem with Manning going down there. No reason to take that hit, especially in preseason.

For a guy who's 6'8", Osweiller sure does seem to have a lot of balls batted down at the line.

Short of season where he was injured, Has Manning ever gone his whole preseasn without leading his team to a TD? I'm not sure what to think at this point. Are they sandbagging or are there real issues with manning running Kubes offense under center? I have a feeling the D will have to carry this offense early when it may score 17 points a game.

I'm not saying Manning has looked great but he hasn't had his guys helping him out a ton either. In the first game against Houston he had guys drop 2 easy 1st down catches throwing off any kind of momentum. He also had where I think we had 2-3 holding calls so again that throws off anything the offense is trying to do.

This last game while the 2 throws to DT in the end zone were not his best work DT didn't do him any favors as he did not fight for the ball one bit. On the 3rd and goal play as well where Manning took the huge hit he put it right on the numbers to Cody Latimer (been watching the play over and over to see what happened) and essentially Latimer just dropped it. He let it get into his chest and it just bounced off leading to the incomplete. That is a touchdown if Sanders is playing in my opinion as his hands are magical in those situations.

So again Manning hasn't looked his best but his guys just are not doing him any favors either. I also don't think we have seen much of the offense that we are planning to run. What I think we actually will run a ton of us the Pistol formation as it is that middle ground for both Kubiak and Manning. Allows us to run however we want but still makes it where Manning doesn't have to take as many steps before firing the football.

You're right the receivers have been below average so far.

DT just doesn't look quite right yet. His sitting out has hurt him more than the team would like to admit right now. Thankfully they still have a couple more weeks to get things right but he better kick it into high gear. You don't pay that kind of money that he made just for past results. You expect something from that kind of investment.

I think Manning's ego has taken a hit with everything that has transpired, going back to the fact that he looked bad at the end of last season, and the subsequent pay reduction and coaching change ....

He is at his best when he commands the stage, but unfortunately - and what I never liked about him - is that when he is thrown off his game or if something gets into his head, he folds ..

This will be a work in progress and hopefully he's got the 'nads to get thru it

So far this reminds me of the 1977 Bronco team. Aging QB - Greg Morton - fastest defense in the league and swarming - all the offense had to to was to score a point more than the defense gave up. I grew up on that kind of football. What is cool - if the defense keeps the Broncos alive in the early going - this offense will get in sync and the Broncos have a chance to finish very hot.

Greg Morton? That must be Craig's older brother from another mother.
