These guys are always hurt. Hightower...Edelman...Amendola...Mitchell. We've got a lot of injury prone players. Even Gronk seemed dinged up after that nice almost TD grab.

..and we're already suffering from injuries.

FUCK!

I was just going to start an "Injury Bug" thread......is this what's called being 'Ninja'd'?

Julian Edelman..........Out for the season
Malcolm Mitchell........Out at least 6 weeks, possibly longer.
Danny Amendola.......Out for at least this week, possibly the next three. Heard the Concussion is serious.
Donta Hightower.......Reports say the ACL is strained, not sprained. Will play next Sunday.
Matthew Slater.........Serious Hamstring pull. Probably out for two-three more weeks.
Vincent Valentine......Knee. Possibly will play next Sunday but might sit one more week to be sure.
Jacob Hollister...........Unknown, Coach's decision to sit him. May suit up next Sunday.
Nate Ebner..............Shoulder separation. May be ready next Sunday.
Harvey Langi............Concussion. Out.
Kieonta Davis...........Back. Out.

Have to hope we're not headed for another 2014. For those with poor memories.....27 players were IR'd for the season during that year.

Belichick has made his bones drafting and signing guys that were hurt and everyone else stayed away. Gronk has had 5 back surgeries since college. Most players would have quit after 2. Belichock doesn't want him to get beat up early before he's had a chance to play and test the latest surgery. Personally, I think he's becoming an average to above average TE, he's no longer "SuperHuman".

There's no such thing as injury 'prone'. Football is a sport where some people do not have a body that recovers quickly from contact. The body takes impact in a certain area and some people shake it off and do it again immediately. Others take the exact same hit and they need a massage and ointment and have to sit for a quarter or longer. I coached youth sports for 44 years and I can tell you from experience, some people just can't absorb body punishment.

This is starting to sound eerily like 2014. One thing I can see is possibly using Hollister as a receiver over the middle for horizontal passes. Maybe add Akeem Ayers if BB feels help is needed at LB or DE. After the first game, vets can be added without a guaranteed contract.

Well thank God for that awesome season and miraculous win last Feb. I don't see them getting back to the big game this year and that's not based upon Thursday's game but rather, the injuries.

Bullshit that injuries are no excuse.

What you just described is "injury prone". As per Websters Dictionary : frequently injured. An athlete who is injury proned

If Gronk was injured on that missed catch in the EZ, it will be very disappointing. If he can't withstand something like that we are in trouble. For some reason, it seems several of the key players are very fragile.

If he was hurt it's his ribs. Nobody's ribs can take landing on a football.

Hightower has a knee problem and Amendola is going through the league concussion protocol because this is his third in game concussion. Hightower is about 75% sure to play, it appears that DA is out.

Hightower has been ruled out for the game.

His injury is not serious. Just taking care of an important player.....

Which is smart. Teams have to keep the long-term goal in mind instead of short-term success. I remember the 2015 season for the Broncos they had quite a few players on the defense banged up so the Broncos at different points made sure to give those players a game off to let them heal up for when it mattered most. That decision helped the Broncos finally have everybody on the defensive side of the ball (minus a couple) healthy for the playoffs and well rested. Obviously that led to a Super Bowl.
