I'm watching the Yanks/Red Sox game and they are saying that a divisional tie breaker game counts as part of the regular season. My question is, if the O's make it to a tie-breaker and beat the Yankees, ending up 95-68, would they get the first seed over Texas if they are, say 94-68?

Interesting...TEX would lose the tie break to NYY in that scenario. (assuming everyone had a 94-68 record)... So I'm going to have to say.......yes?

That said, the collective fanbase does not have alot of confidence in the Rangers winning one more game all year.

Personally, I hope the O's beat out the Yanks for 1st in the East....as I would hate to see the O's lose to the Rangers in a silly "play-in" game. :)
(assuming the Rangers lose this afternoon)
