There is a chance that Baker returns since things have not gone well for him in TB. I guess I can understand them getting rid of Jackson and/or Garcon, but it sounds like they didn't even talk to them about the chance of returning & God knows that Pryor didn't work out (& sounds like he is going back to CLE).

Again w/ Brown I love the guy & want him to return just no sure he is worth 10+ M / year. Hopefully they can meet somewhere in the middle.

Unless both were asking for outrageous money. I don't understand the release of both Jackson and Garcon. Particularly with the solution (Pryor) that they came up with.

Garcon was offered a front loaded contract that we could not reasonable match. I think he was making like $16 mill this past season.

Jackson was also fairly expensive and being a burner and entering his 30s he posed a risk.... which based off his first season with TB looks like it was a good we didnt gamble.

I agree w/ you about not releasing both or at least having serious discussions w/ them. I was just stating that I could understand say retaining Garcon & moving on from Jackson given Jackson's high price tag & injury concerns. At the least they should have found a better replacement. Honestly - at the time was Pryor considered to be an elite WR? I know that Dean was basically doing cartwheels over this move, but was this really the best move (at the time - we all know that it was not in hindsight)?

Dean wasn’t alone. I will admit to liking the move of Pryor and I am still not opposed to it. I would like to re-sign him on the cheap.

Garçon received 9.5 million per season with 17 fully guaranteed at signing. Cap hits aren’t relative because they can be floated around. He is the 19th highest paid WR in the league.

DJ received 11.17 mil per season with 20 mil fully guaranteed at signing. He is the 12th highest paid WR in the league.

Garçon May have earned his deal this past season. He ranked 20th in the league in yards/game (remember he only played 8 games) but didn’t score a TD. He caught almost 60% of the passes thrown his way. Granted he didn’t have the greatest QB play. It is a tough call.

DeSean May have been the biggest bust in FA. He ranked 55in yards per game, caught 3 TDs, and a career low of 13YPC which is not why he was brought there.

I agree with all you say above. As for Pryor. I think at the very best he was considered intriguing. He had a decent year in Cleveland the year prior. I doubt many GMs who lost their #1 and #2 WRs would've saw him as the solution to replacing them. Which it appears Allen did.

Oh well - may just agree to disagree on this one. I don't think that Pryor is a disciplined route runner & IMO that is a problem with the Skins. I think that it was quite a bit different in CLE. Oh well - who knows & I believe that in any case Pryor will be elsewhere next season - perhaps back in CLE.

I believe that Pryor returns and that inside of Ashburn there's still a belief in what he can be.

All good @skinsdad. Including Fuller was a gut punch, but I like Alex and getting Zach in the fold takes ILB off the table at 13. Payne or Vea.

I will admit, if Allen is sitting there at 13, I could see the Skins biting......or trade down. I wouldn't put anything past this team.

This was ARGO. In my opinion it was the least fkd up idea. We get to have a season next year. They don't make this trade unless they think they are close which leads me to believe we will be active in FA and pass on a QB at 13.

Kirk was never gonna sign here, but was too good of a dude and teammte to come out and say it. Alex has been to back to back Pro Bowls and led the league in passer rating last year. He needs a running game to be effective, but I will take Alex over staring down the barrel that is Tyrod Taylor, Sam Bradford, and Teddy Bridgewater.

Let me be clear, I would not have included Fuller, but if.they can get Breeland back in the fold, it lessons the blow.

There is nothing to convince. Bad trade....best QB on the market. They dropped the ball two years ago.

Mostly agree. Except I think Smith was the 2nd best QB available to us at this time.

Who I don't begrudge is Kirk. Dude was miserable at his workplace for the last two+ years and showed up every day and studied and balled out. He was the complete professional. He could have pulled a Haynesworth. I saw him take big shots in the pocket. He was running for his life in Dallas. He risked a lot by playing on the tag. You can't call him selfish or greedy because he wasn't willing to sign over his football life to Dan and Bruce. I am happy for him and now I get to root against him. Unless Kirk winning it all next year is what finally gets Bruce fired and gets Dan to check his ego.
