I don't give a fuck
Wtf. What's going on with them? I understand that they have given everything to Flacco now and its his team, but you'd think they would still want to establish a ground game. I'm confused

With an elite qb like Flacco, why would you even bother running it at all?
Their offensive line has played horrifically and Rice has been hurt.

I love how fans of other teams label him as elite and then make fun of it. Newsflash...if you have to fabricate a reason to make fun of someone...it's probably not worth it.
Flacco's name isn't Brady, Peyton, or Rodgers. Therefore he isn't elite. But he is very firmly in the next tier.

I think it more has to do with Ravens fans after their Superbowl victory calling Flacco elite and on the level of Peyton, Tom, Drew, and Aaron. When they handed him his big contract everybody outside of Baltimore thought that was a bad decision. I understand why they did it but paying a guy to be top 5 in the league when he is clearly not is just bad for business.
I disagree. He had one crazy hot stretch during the playoffs, but other than that he's very comparable to Andy Dalton.
A. I think you are taking comments from a very small minority and applying them to the entire Ravens' fanbase. Most Ravens' fans are very well aware that Flacco isn't elite. He has been good enough and extremely clutch. That's better than most.
B. If the Ravens didn't pay him that money, another team sure as shit would have. The Ravens didn't want to start over at the QB position after they have been struggling the fill the position since their beginning. Just look at how many teams to continue to struggle to find the one.
C. People are making too much of the contract. They are simply looking at the overall money and not the guaranteed money. You can talk about the big 4, but Romo and Ryan both make more money than Flacco. Flacco's contract in 2013 is no different than Eli's contract in 2009 or Ben's in 2008. It's just 4-5 years later.
How often does a team allow a franchise QB (just entering their prime) walk?
5 years in the league. 5 straight postseason appearances. 5 straight postseason appearances with at least 1 playoff victory. 11 playoff victories. 3 AFCCG appearances. 1 Super Bowl victory.
Comparable to Andy Dalton???

Congratulations on all those team accomplishments.
It's a team sport ding dong. Everything is a team accomplishment. Every single freaking play is a team accomplishment (or lack thereof).
The only thing I know is the Ravens had never had close to the amount of success prior to Flacco as they have with Flacco. They've had some great defenses, great offensive lines, great running backs, but never a 5-year stretch like this.
Is it just one huge coinky-dink?
No its not a coinky-dink. When you put someone in at QB on those Ravens teams with a pulse, they will have some success.
