No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
What we say or whine about is neither productive nor counterproductive. It is simply commentary amongst Rangers fans. We have no ability to be productive or counterproductive with our comments.Really counterproductive to keep whining over Profar at this point. Especially since we scored a couple promising prospects in a time we are rebuilding.
Time will tell if Odor can become a hitter as opposed to a slugger. He looked like he made real progress in the spring with lots of oppos hits but yes he has regressed.
Splitting hairs about options to me is not the route. But who knows. If you are a buy in to Woody then you begin again and trust the process
As far as trusting any processes, that trust will need to be earned like any other kind of trust. There have been many processes tried in this organization that have not gotten us very far over the last several years.
Odor has made progress several times and he usually regresses. That may just be who he is. He made a tremendous amount of progress in the middle of last year and then was awful over the last several weeks.
The Profar vs. Odor question is a very valid question. It really doesn't matter what we got for Profar unless that is compared to what we would have gotten for Odor. It isn't Burke. White, and Odor instead of Profar. The real comparison is Profar plus the prospects we would have gotten for Odor vs. Odor and the prospects we could get for Profar.
