Lol. He still has their playoff odds 10 to 12% below the next two teams.
only because we're the only division leader with an actual challenger at the moment.

Baltimore is only a half game further back from the Rays than the Astros are behind us. The Orioles are closer in the loss column than the Astros are.only because we're the only division leader with an actual challenger at the moment.
No faith that he will be any betterYou almost felt like yesterday was Hernandez's shot to stay here & he didn't take advantage. Now - it's Howard's turn.
He hasn't given any of us reason for that yet... probably his last shot as wellNo faith that he will be any better
You’re right I thought he had already been reactivatedThey may simply release King to clear the 40 man spot for Howard. They need to go ahead and bring up Speas pretty soon as well.

It's not just the Rangers. It is pretty much everyone on this board and justifiably so. He actually pitched well as a starter in the minors last year just before they called him back up and I was pulling for the guy but he bottomed out. But for our benefit I hope him pitching as a reliever works out. So as I said before I hope it is the real deal this time and not fools gold.Howard gets crapped on here a lot, but I think he has potential as a 1-2 inning reliever. It just took the rangers awhile to realize that. Hopefully he can help us in that role.
Hernandez deserved to get sent down.
The guy was on fire at the end of Spring Training and then stayed hot at the beginning of the season then went on the DL and I was concerned that the time off would affect him. But he is playing at a MVP level. His best AVG, SLG % and OPS in his career.
Is there a hidden secret that is not wanted known? He has been out a long time for a minor injury as first reported.

Especially with deGrom on the 60ILMartin Perez has to improve considerably to turn his season around.
He's allowing an opponent batting average of .301 and an OPS of 828.
Yep. Hopefully he can pitch more consistently like the two starts prior to his last.Especially with deGrom on the 60IL
