from restorations to general maintenance to installing accessories.
you might do it or you have it done.
let's hear it. whatever it is.

My wife tells me a last week that her A/C isn't blowing cold in her car.
So I decide to try one of those recharge kits from the parts store.

Hooked it up and the gauge said it was low.
Pulled the trigger and got it into the "green" zone on the gauge.

Blew as cold as it was new. I was rather impressed with the product. It has the Freon the oil and some kind of stop leak crap in it. It's stayed cold for a week now, so cross your fingers.

It cost $39 with tax at Advanced Auto Parts. You keep the gauge and just have to buy the refill canisters from now on, which cost less than the kit obviously. I checked my pickup and it was in the 'green'.

thanks.
thought a thread like this could be of some use.
I remember not to long ago some girl was asking what to do about her hot A/C en sech.
Now I tried it, and it worked, and give some positive feedback to others that might want to try it.

OK, so I find this old spray bottle of ArmorAll in the garage yesterday. This stuff has to be at least a few years old so I shake it up and want to see if it is still any good.

So I start working on the inside of my pickup which hasn't seen any real attention for years itself.
Well, I was amazed. The ArmorAll worked great and I couldn't believe that it cleaned as well as it did.

Cut through old coffee that had sloshed out, dirt, everything. I just don't see the need to clean shit with 409 or any cleaner before you put ArmorAll on. Well, after about 30 minutes the inside of my truck looks much better.

Wonder how many years ArmorAll lasts just sitting around.
Another Project Done.

I found out 1st hand from a body and paint shop, that ArmorAll will go all the way down to the metal. If your vehicle ever needs a touch-up of paint, it won't stick and has to be stripped to the bare metal, treated to remove the ArmorAll, then primer and paint will again stick to the metal.

If you use ArmorAll on the tires, you probably got overspray on your fenders (wheelwells) and if using it on the interior, you probably got some on your doorjamb ( where it was when at the body shop). One pissed off bodyman and a much higher cost for what should've been a simple touch-up.

I can't find a 66 mustang coupe rear seat, been my search lately. Can find an assload of fastback seats, but none for 66 coupe. Some jackoff on ebay has a 67 cougar seat for sale that he claims will fit. Just because bolts line up doesn't mean the fit is correct :L

Did you rebuild it or someone else? Those A4's are trouble with a capital TROUBLE, and rebuilding can cause more issues if not done right. Most go in and just replace the gearpack that went bad, or maybe all, but those little guys need at least a new pump and converter. They can be solid little guys, but if it has cratered before then it is gonna need all new insides if you want to get another 100k out of it :suds:

Not sure how much shipping would amount to, but these guys might be able to help.
They have a ton of classic stuff.

Got a few things to do this summer. Need to install and set up a power programmer in the truck and car. Replace the factory chrome rims on the car with these.

RUFF_R359_BlackMachinedFace.jpg

Also need to re-tint the windows in the Merc. AND going to install a new motor in the Merc. Got a friend who happens to have rebuilt and built up a 429 Cobra Jet. Going to be a long and tedious job due to some mods, but well worth it in the end. Throwing a new Trans in as well to go along with the new motor.

67 Cougar should fit a 67 Mustang, but not the 66.

My mothers car battery died this weekend. It was an Interstate 75 month battery that lasted 96 months.
I had installed it 8 years ago.
Put in a new one, but not a 75 month one. Don't think we will have it that much longer.
Still a good car but the age bothers me.

It's a 1 owner, 2000 Buick Century, with 62,000 miles on it.

I'm thinking about buying some weird Chinese pickup truck nobody has seen around here. But you can't get one with power.
So, I can buy this new truck for $3k and then put in an engine, tranny, exhaust, fuel tank, etc from a wrecked vehicle and I'm good to go for probably about $10k.

Whatcha think? Of has my insane cheapness finally taken me off the rails??
