Sharks plan and Manziels latest fuckup, could be good for Dallas. Both may be out of play even for Jerry.

Well it was Todd McShay who pegged him as a potential WR draft prospect and we all know how good McShay is :D

McShay follows the other talking heads and information he gets from scouts and GMs. Point still stands, if not for a stellar 2011 season, he would likely have been drafted as a WR. He darn sure wouldnt have been a first rounder.

Oh come on now. All Johnny needs to do is slap a couple of Vegas hookers and we all know Jerry will make him target #1.

As for Griffin, I dont expect us to do anything other than cut him. But if we managed to get something for him... or simply made him take his shit and go home for good... I would NOT be upset. Him in Dallas would be good for the comedy/drama factor Im sure.

And I'm the one who's feelings about rg3 cloud my judgment :L

OH no clouded judgment here. I cant stand him. But I think it would be a waste to simply let him walk without at least trying to get something out of the mistake we made. I thought it would be a failure and a waste from the moment we made the trade. I was fooled for about the last half of 2012, and realized it was doomed to be the biggest mistake the team ever made from the moment the all in for week one campaign started.

And yes I realize we likely get nothing for him in the end, but I still cant fathom why any one would actually hope some one that actually failed for us. Would then hope that same some one goes on to prove the team was wrong.

That's a tad bit dramatic isn't it? 2000-2012 is full of terrible, ass backwards, ridiculous mistakes. From contracts given to FAs, lopsided, high risk/low reward trades that just depleted depth, nonsensical HC hires, putting square blocks into round holes again and again, shitty, unexplained and/or hardball tactics taken with some players while others are granted the moon.

And I think most of that is child's play in comparison to giving up what amounts to four high draft picks for a guy who we basically got one good year, two arguably average years, and one totally wasted roster spot year out of. I will admit, this team has made some bone headed moves since Snyder took over. But this one if not the clearly worst, would have to rank as 1A.

Two average years? Griffin didn't bust a grape after his rookie season and yeah, that was a lotta picks to fuck off on an fuckin hardhead who refused to protect himself (arguably Griffin's biggest drawback) but I look at it like this. Had the Rams went with Cleveland, who rumors say offered up as much as the Skins, but because dickhead Shanny and ass0 Fisher are supposedly homies, the Rams dealt with the Skins.

Redskins acquire No. 2 pick from Rams

Cleveland Browns had stepped up their efforts to try to acquire the No. 2 pick in recent days, going so far as to offer at least three No. 1 picks to the Rams and possibly even a second-round pick, according to one source familiar with the deal. Cleveland sensed it was going to get the deal done, only to be informed that St. Louis planned to deal the coveted No. 2 pick to the Redskins.

So the trade doesn't happen and we're left with Shanny, Allen and Snyder as the Redskins brain trust. I'm goin with odds are better than 60/40 they fuck off at least two of the 1st rd picks and the 2nd rd pick. And instead of 3 double digit losing seasons, Shanny has 4 double digit losing seasons or has 3 and gets fired a year earlier than he did and 3 of the 4 picks are either already gone or getting red to exit stage left the Puzzle Factory that is Redskins Park.

And most importantly, does not doing the trade somehow lead to Scotty Mac never becoming GM? What if Snyder and Allen actually make two good picks and ol' Danny starts thinking he's a football guru once again?

Yeah, things have been bad since 20113 and the trade is the biggest reason why, but the trade possibly could in some way be a key component in events/actions that led to circumstances of Scotty Mac being hired. Is that a stretch? Sure, but once you get into the "What if...." game. No one can know how small, large, insignificant or drastic changing one event will be on everything else.

This was a topic of discussion among the homies and myself a few days ago. I know a lotta Skins fans like to wonder/believe that if Sean Taylor had lived/never been a fatal victim of crime at all. That he'd be roaming center-field for the Skins as the game's present best all around safety. I'm not so sure myself. I think its very possible he'd be the game's best safety for sure, but he'd be ballin for some not named the Redskins.

Is anyone serious here? :dhd: RG is a candyass. That wuss would be busted up and on IR after being a WR for a week.

We just need to get rid of him. Even if it has zero return.

Griffin jumped on his own fumble in preseason game three and effectively ended his career. Cam didn't want to risk injury trying to recover his fumble in the Super Bowl. :noidea:

I don't know what that means but I found it interesting.

Make him a WR.

Sure if he doesnt show up, we have to park the $16 million and not spend it. But we also dont have to pay it to him. So if he refuses and sits at home, the money rolls into 2017.

At which point, we franchise him ( with the money we rolled over any way) as a WR.

And IF he signs with another team in 2017, we negotiate a 1st and 3rd for his rights, or watch him fade into history.

Either way... we win. :D

I'm not sure why WAS would want to carry a $16 mil lug nut around for '16....yeah, I know you don't want to release him and get nothing in return after having paid so much for his rights, but trying to get another pound of flesh out of him because somebody jumped the gun on that option is compounding a mistake.

Hasnt this organization been the fuck puppet long enough. Just when its some other teams time to replace you in the barrel you want the Skins to wave em off and say come back another day we still got business here. Too funny. One thing only will happen with Griffin... He'll be given release papers within the next month or so. He has no spot on your team. Certainly not as a WR. Griffins gone. Failed experiment. Case closed.

Absolutely & this appears to be changing with the new GM. SM made the statement that they might consider keeping RG3. By all indications he only did this to help somewhat in his bargaining power in the Cousins negotiations. Make no mistake - RG3 will be cut sometime in March.

It means that one is injury prone & the other one is a wuss.

He's not a candy ass, hell, he might be better off if he were. Nah, he's something worse than a candy ass. He's a fuckin hard-head and while its not incurable. The remedy for hard-headness is always painful and leaves one with a very very soft ass.
