I'm not saying that it's make or break, but this week might be the most important week of the season for us. We host the Padres, and then we go to SF. The Padres are right in front of us in team ERA, good for 3rd best in baseball. SF isn't far behind, at #7. We need some bats this week. Our last series against them saw us lose our first two games 3-2 and 2-1, both in extra innings. There is absolutely nothing more that we should ask from our pitching. It wasn't until the last game of the series that we opened it up and won 7-1.

Kershaw pitches today, and Sunday (last game in SF). We need those two, plus two more (we want 2 of 3 against each). I will say that our 3 pitchers @ SF are Ryu, Greinke, and Kershaw.

Get those bats going, and pitch competitively!

Ultimately, this team is defined by the Big 3. How go Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu, how go the Dodgers. However, Haren has been very serviceable of late, you just never know which Haren is going to show up. He's a wild card.

I short of expect the Dodgers to lose a couple in San Fran. I hope they can take two out of three from the Man Diego Padres. So if the the Dodgers are 3 to four game up heading into SF and we can still be in first by next Monday, we should be okay for the stretch run. Win three games this week and we should be okay.
