If there are not enough 6-6 teams to fill bowls: From USA Today: "According to the NCAA, the 5-7 teams will be “deemed eligible in descending order from the highest multiyear Academic Progress Rate in the Football Bowl Subdivision for the most recent reporting year. Those teams will then select the bowl in which they will participate.”

Heard about that this morning. Bowls now have to take a 6-6 team before any 5-7 teams. That's a good policy.

that's been the rule forever. it wasn't until last season that 5-7 teams came into play. It used to be they had to take 7-5 from the sunbelt or MAC before a power 6-6 team too but that changed a while back. now any 6-6 team gets picked before any 5-7 so 6-6 GA state, south Alabama, North Texas, UNLV, Eastern Michigan all get picked before 5-7 Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Cal, Illinois and West Virginia.

I don't get pissed off here. I like to argue. there's real world stuff out there to worry or get mad about. This here's for entertainment. I do get flustered with some idiots on the main part who don't care if kids go to class or if they get arrested and only care about winning games. They forget of don't realize these are teams from a college not the pros. I don't see any of that here.

I don't know, the 18 Berkeley fans that show up that aren't chained to trees seems to give off the I'll take it in the pooper vibe. At least Ducks fans give you laced brownies to get you to make bad decisions.

I think they all need to just chill the fuck out and leave UW to the shadows until they prove they deserve the spotlight. Yeah thats quite a reach. I don't see any super teams in the PAC so it's not out of the question they can contend in the north but I look at teams who have been in title games the past four years and I don't see any PAC team at that level just yet.

The problem with all of these preseason predictions is it takes not having any real injuries to even have a chance at them coming true and injures are the rule, not the exception.

UW does now have a core of some fairly talented players, but their depth is nothing even close to USC or even Oregon. There are key players on both sides of the ball that if they go down it changes the game dramatically for them. And it's not just one or two on either side.

LOL if the Huskies win another NC before the Duckies after Uncle Phil sunk over half a billion dollars in that "school's" athletic facilities. Plus all the sleezey Nike involvement in recruiting and off the books consultants working for the athletics programs.

Especially with Petersen as the coach. That's just icing on the cake. Oh baby.

But I'm still not buying all that level of hype right now. Next year was when it was looking like this team would have enough talent for a Rose bowl bid. But if we find a way to get there this year, sweet.
