Had I known you were going to be back so soon, I would have given you all the dogs and required them to win outright. (Probably would have had to give you losses for the teasers though)

It's how we do it in my NFL pay for league when someone misses getting their picks in before the deadline.

I addressed WM about it but he was actually pretty tormented by the way things escalated and didn't seem to have good hope of your return.

Again, it's not about the quality of athlete he had left, it's how they fit in with his very unique offense. Also, as often happens, some of those kids didn't buy in. You need a TEAM to win.

Sark had to clean house to some degree and Petersen has had a ton of turnover. Explain to me how UW's defense is better this year with only a name or two anyone has heard of over a unit that put 4 guys into the NFL last year in the first round? There was more seasoned talent last year. No one argues that, but this unit plays as a team and every kid is on board. That matters greatly.

They might not make a bowl this year and it's because of how young they are playing because of the kids they dumped and those that left. It was a massive turnover. They are starting a true freshman QB for the first time in school history because of it.

A. The kids he threw off were idiots out of rebellion. They weren't buying in. There were problems in that locker room last year and it was well reported on.

B. If you look at their trajectory many had 2014 as their break out year. The defense was well down despite having 4 first round draft worthy players and a very seasoned group all over that field and the offense dropped off substantially.

Neither was about not having talent, it was about someone else's kids in a new system. Petersen is a lot like Leach in needing his kids to run their system. Coaches like Harbaugh can go in and adapt their schemes to the talent they actually have. That's a rare coach at this level. Rich rod has his own way, Graham too, Dykes took several years to get kids into his system. This is the norm.

If Stanford can win today they will even the all time record against UW at 41-41-1. UW has led the series overall since 1992. A few years ago, Washington led the series 39-32-4. But Stanford has won 8 of the last 10 to draw within a game of the Huskies. Hoping to even it up tonight.
