Thats a really bad thing for the team and his draft status. I don't know where he was projected but you can bet he will go much lower now if he misses the season and enters the draft.

• The student-athlete must suffer the injury during one of their four seasons of college competition or during the senior year of high school.
• The injury must be incapacitating. That means it must be a season-ending injury.
• The injury must occur prior to the start of the second half of the season.
• The student-athlete must not have competed in more than 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater.

If he competed in the first four games he is ineligible.

Oly 30% or 3 games which ever is more. Given the 12 game season 30% is 4 games. I looked into this when Shittu was hurt. In his case since he was ejected in the first half of the UCF game had he not played a snap in the second half of the OSU there was hope he could apply, but this was found by a friend that it would have to be a special exemption not just a medical red shirt. But if a player plays in at least 30% of the games (so 4 games)
