Don't know about anyone else, but I feel like I actually have less of an idea on how the PAC will play out the rest of the way.

My picks going in were FURD and UCLA. My picks right now are FURD and UCLA.

The south is definitely the tougher division to settle on with a pick.

The hate is real. I revel in it. Keep it coming. I beg of you.

Keep it coming.

I don't forget. Makes my troll game all the stronger.

I am going to make life miserable for each and every one of ya.

Unless like me, you let it it that water run off your backs, like say.... A Duck.

It's fittin to get miserable for a few of ya. Better start taking some pills to make your skin thicker.

:suds:

This post is pretty much the opposite of "water off a ducks back."

Yeah, I had Oregon in the North and I still think they take it. They are in a similar situation to USC. Their loss wasn't to a team in their division, so they just need to win out in the North and they are in the CCG.

Even with as good as their offense has been, they've always had that game or 2 where the offense just isn't clicking, but their defense is usually serviceable enough to get by.

Their next 2 opponents are Colorado and Wazzou. I expect epic beatdowns of both of them as Oregon takes out their frustrations on them. Then they get UW before they get a 4 week run of ASU, Cal, Stanford and USC that will ultimately decide their season.

For the South, I think I went homer and picked USC, but with the caveat that any of 4 teams could win it and if I were asked the next day, would probably pick a different team.

Could literally see the South coming down to some obscure tiebreaker that no one knew even existed.

I sure am glad Bama doesn't catch shit when they lose. I'd hafta rustle up my My Space posse on y'alls asses

Lolz...Reminds of the very last game of organized tackle football I played in...Fall of 1979, Thanksgiving Day. The crowd had gathered large, it was cold a wet...the field was a muddy sloppy mess, the only green grass was growing on the edge of the field. 11:30 +/- gametime and my team had lost the coin toss and had to kickoff. I was on that KO coverage team of specialists. Our kicker booted a short one to my side of the field and I knew I was going to get into the mix right away so I came shootin right out of the gates...5 yards down-field I went when I heard a loud "pop" and had to pull up short with a hammy pull injury. I was done with my career right there, never laced em up again after that.

I blamed it on not stretching out before the game, I mean who the hell did? Getting those early cold cans of beer down seemed more important. Those Thanksgiving Day tackle games with no helmets-n-pads were great fun tho.

Oregon's next 2 will be 10 point decisions. UW will be tough because at UW. They are a up and down team that will give oregon everything they have. ASU Im not as worried about right now. they seem almost more deflated than oregon. Cal, Stanford and USC will be a tought run.

I hope so. I could see it going the same as the Cal game. A team coming to town who can put up a lot of pts but has a vulnerable D.

Our D plays well, keeps the game manageable only to have the O implode.

It is a rivalry though... so we'll see...

Sigh. Scooby is out yet again. This time a sprained right foot; out a few weeks. Can't help but feel that we just wasted him in a blow out loss to the Bruins. This sucks.

I believe so.
brutal for UCLA.

I want to think the Bruins can get to the CCG unbeaten, but I'm not so sure their defense can hold up and has the depth to do so..

UCLA is a great team, and healthy might even take the PAC now, but since they have some brutal injuries they may have 1 or 2 losses come December.

didn't pay one second of attention to the UCLA/Arizona game.

Turned on gameday and saw Rich Fraud trying to pump up the basketball crowd, then turned the channel.

With the injuries to UCLA's d-line and LB corps I think a team that is willing to play a close game early with a lot of runs up the gut will wear UCLA down by the 3rd quarter. The key will be defending the UCLA O which can be tough.

My concern for Stanford is that the DL which is thin at best lost all three starters as of this week. Phillips blew his ACL in the NW game and Scarlett and Shittu both went down Friday. That leaves to reserves and Solomon Thomas to play the line. Shaw my have to burn a redshirt on one of his true frosh. Against a team like UCLA or Oregon this will hurt a bunch. Also, the young secondary for the Cardinal has given up a few big plays so a team with an accurate passer may set up well to roast the DB's.

Nothing is certain right now, I see signs of real life from the Cardinal O, but the D needs to step up it's game something fierce.

We will see how it goes, as of right now the best D remaining on Stanford's schedule (in terms of rank after 4 weeks) is UW.
